Somebody stole my credit card data
Joy.
I checked my credit card statement online yesterday and was surprised to see two transactions I didn't have the faintest clue about, both marked on Friday April 3rd. One was tiny: 2.5 euro to some Spanish travel agency, but the other one was for over 500 euros and with a marking I couldn't even guess at. Not fun.
I immediately blocked the card, but have reason to believe that whomever got hold of my credit card data has spent another 500 EUR that hadn't made its way onto my online statement yet.
I started the procedure for contesting these transactions, but even though I've called and faxed the controlling company, I have no news yet (not even a "we received your fax and are investigating").
Somebody out there is having a trip through Spain with my money while I don't even get a day off till September ... I do not approve.
